THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE SUPPORT! seriously, and i know people that make games and stuff say this sorta thing all the time, but truly, you guys getting excited about PA3 and supporting us really energizes us both. it's a huge motivation for why we've kept working on the game all these years. we're so excited to finish it and finish it in a way that makes us proud and you guys happy!

SMALL UPDATE: littel guy alert. this is an enemy ive wanted to make for a while now and ive finally got off my butt to do it. it's a robot that looks like a burger-beetle, but if you keep it alive, it transforms into an item box. he'd be placed around spots with hordes of enemies and stuff, so you aren't just mindlessly shooting; you'd have to see it and try not to include it in your combo. you get rewarded for playing smart

This enemy looks and plays awesome for the Shooting stages! What levels are you guys most hyped to play in PA3's full release? Mine are City Escape, Final Rush, Security Hall, Meteor Herd, and Iron Gate.
EDIT: I replayed PA3:TT and while playing, I noticed a 1st mission: Get to the goal ring/Find the pieces of the Doge Pyrites thing on the loading screens, does that mean missions like in SA2 with emblems are confirmed?

Pretty much all of the stages! And hopefully you guys'll include Pumpkin Hill in the game! Because that's one of my favorite stages in SA2.

currently exhausted. spent the week reuploading 130+ animations--from the old vuga group to the new one--and reimplementing each and every one back into the game, because roblox has no other way of sharing animations across groups.
i love roblox moderation! i love that we needed to switch groups! this was the perfect use of development time!
at least it's done now. it's a huge thing off our shoulders, and even if i spent a week just to make no visible progress, i can at least move onto other things now.

I mean hey progress is progress! You got it done now so you can (hopefully) handle the more fun/important stuff when you're feeling like it

I come bearing news from the weekend!
Weapons Bed's layout is complete. We've gotta pave over it with some polish, of course, so that means we'll be going through and: - Adding enemies
- Cleaning up stuff that looks too blocky, or making platforms and objects a little more unique
- Adding decorations and background scenery!
in the coming days. SuperJumpman12 has been hard at work with other stuff, too!
We've playtested the entire game (or what we've got of it) recently, and we've come to the conclusion that dear god this game is so long. Once we finish our first pass throughs of designing ALL the stages, we might go back and trim some of them down.
Certainly, we're going to go through and ensure the difficulty of the stages are scaled appropriately and that you're learning all of the cool mechanics at a good pace, too.
We're also talking more about the excellent cutscene engine SuperJumpman12 built, and how we can approach the voices. Full voice acting isn't on the table, and for a number of reasons we're not going to go down the path of AI voice cloning. He and I talked about a potential solution today, and we may have landed a method to incorporate characters' voices into the engine so that you can hear them in every cutscene (not just certain quips or lines here and there).
I'm the big sound design person between the two of us, so it's in my ballpark now to deliver a proof-of-concept of our idea to SJ12, and if he likes it we'll be in business! The voices in the cutscenes have been something we've wanted to nail down for a while, but haven't quite gotten there. At least, until now! There may be hope for our characters' voices yet.
That wraps up my big update from the weekend! TL;DR: Weapons Bed is all designed and just needs to get cleaned up, I've got an interesting idea for voices in the cutscene engine, meanwhile SJ12 is also having their own main character arc with lots of work on their plate too!

(albeit sure you guys are gonna cut some stuff out) And seriously, mad respect to you guys for not going down the AI route, I'm hyped to see how you guys handle these cutscenes!

personally, I like longer games but I know a few people who don't though. though it's nice to get this update cause I actually have been questioning if there would be voice acting in the game
