So, I've been working on a few games recently since last year and I want to have a form of media to make my games more popular. I've made a channel, but how can I start a channel and gain more views?
What editing software/screen recorder should I use? I have OBS Studio in mind. (i'm a macOS user)
If we look back at the launch trailer of PA1, it clearly brought a lot of people to the game. People shared it with their friends maybe and it grew in popularity.
So how do I start a channel? And how did Vuga start?

vuga started with social media like twitter! it's way easier to take screencaps, repost links and content, and other stuff than to make videos, IMO
in fact i feel like we (vuga) still have a lot of room for improvement on the video/youtube side of things
we keep youtube reserved for trailer videos and all that, but what helped us out a lot (and still does) is posting on twitter/bluesky, instagram, and other social media like that. and also hashtagging with popular tags that people will actually come across
unfortunately roblox ads aren't a thing anymore, but we used to use those a lot in the beginning days too. kinda mixed results but they definitely got players through the doors

I won't let that stop me. I just learned about metatables too. And I started learning Blender over the past few months. Yeah and Twitter might be a good media.
