marbleycake apparently Hypershot is ping and FPS based. Not sure if Roblox physics comes into play but using a fps unlocker allows you to have easy full control of the ball and be able to do absolute wicked howitzer cannon bobba missle shots from the point YEOUCH. the ping I don't have much control over but some developers have been cool enough to have FPS-limiting code open source, so when Hyper Shot migrates to the new group I'll try to have something in place.
higher FPS = better control right? i love running the game at a smooth 60 frames but it'll be tricky whether i want to kill mobile players' phones by forcing 60 fps, or limiting everyone down to something like 30 (which would be gross)

Yes. Higher FPS = better control. You can basically FPS bypass and get absolute wicked shots not to mention nobody can steal the ball from you because you're a step ahead in frames. You may need to limit the FPS but probably by 120 being the highest. Otherwise theres an insane faceoff strat where the ball easily flings to the direction you want it to go. Hit the ball's shadow last second before it teleports to the faceoff. It stores the value for its own velocity and once it starts it goes at that speed. You can use this to fling at the opponent's net and get free goals off a rebound. A friend of mine discovered it, I think his name was ryan and he had a buncha number in his name |

marbleycake A buncha people are asking if you could add spectating. Like if you join game (no quick play) and ur the 7th or 8th or 9th guy you spectate the game. People who kept streaming the game had their FPS tanked and they couldn't play properly

it'll get added because it's also a feature that I want for World Hockey Online, so effectively the code for Hyper Shot is gonna help both those games (and because of that, is especially important to have)

 marbleycake some cool suggestions I assume the hypershot (ahaha the name) occurs when at some point when you dash into the ball it launches at insane speeds like a missile also dash is insane can stomp hit people that are in the air like the classic version Directional input is also super laggy, the moment I turn left the ball goes in the opposite direction or in the previous direction of my player Also the physics def gotten better from the classic, but it doesnt change the fact that its almost ping based. (regional branches suggestions are for my hypershot tournaments) |
